Our group accredited makeup courses at MI Makeup Academy are designed to bring your makeup artistry career to life. We cover all fundamental elements of working within the makeup industry from health, safety, and hygiene to exploring business development, content creation, and social media strategies. In addition to theory, our practical sessions in our group courses involve intimate groups of four students creating stunning makeup looks each on their own models. We start with foundational skills like skin preparation tailored to individual clients, advance to colour correction, ensure long-lasting makeup application, and explore the art of crafting vibrant eyeshadow combinations, as well as achieving glamorous bridal makeup looks. Working alongside fellow budding artists also provides opportunities for you to build relationships within the makeup community. FAQs

Our group course option is suitable for people who are happy to work amongst other students. This learning option is taught in small groups of up to 4 students with 2 tutors to allow for a high-quality educational experience. Being in a small group allows for collaborative learning amongst your peers as well as both our experienced staff members. In addition, it allows you the opportunity to make connections with likeminded individuals and to share and receive support on your new venture. For group courses, you must be able to provide your own models for each day and have your own makeup kit to use throughout the week.
We will contact you via email to send you all the information regarding your enrolment onto your online theory with The Beauty Guild. All your theory work must be completed before your course starts.
Your course will be across 4 days and each day will run from 10am-4pm. You will learn two makeup looks per day, and on the final day, you will complete a casual assessment to allow your tutor to track your progress and provide you with any feedback ahead of you completing your case studies.
Once you have completed your course, you will receive 3 complimentary makeup lessons at MI Academy completely free of charge. You will be required to complete four case studies in your own time replicating the looks you completed on the course. These must be completed within 3 months be sent over to your tutor for approval. Once you have successfully completed your case studies, you will receive your accreditation awarded by The Beauty Guild and you will receive 50% off all makeup lessons at MI Makeup Academy for 12 months.
We also offer a group evening course for those who cannot attend classes during the day or over four consecutive days in a week. For more information on our evening courses, go to the booking section below.
The Beauty Guild provides the theory section of your makeup course which is completed online prior to starting your practical training. They also provide your accreditation upon successful completion of your course at MI Academy and your case studies. Guild Training International (GTi) qualifications are accepted for insurance purposes which means anyone with a GTi qualification can obtain a policy with any main insurance provider.

You have various payment options available when booking our courses. You can choose to make a full payment by selecting your course and proceeding to checkout on our website. Alternatively, you can opt for instalment payments through our online booking system. To do so, click the link below to access our booking platform. Initially, a 20% deposit will be charged, and the remaining amount can be paid in instalments leading up to a week before your course begins.
